All polypropylene fibers are UV stabilized to provide resistance to fading and degradation from the sun's ultraviolet rays. Polypropylene resists mildew, rot, acids, petroleum products and most other chemicals.
Monofilament and multifilament, fiber types are utilized in the manufacture of the various rope constructions offered.
Polypropylene ropes are twice as strong as manila on a size for size basis and are easily spliced.
It does not lose strength even when wet. With a specific gravity of .91, polypropylene is the lightest of synthetic ropes. It can float indefinitely. Although it has only half the stretch ability of nylon, polypropylene has elastic properties that approximates that of polyester. Yellow is the standard color. The standard coil length is 600 feet. Types include:
3-Strand Polypropylene Monofilament
Hollow Braid Polypropylene - Monofilament
